Fitzroy Inn Wedding Photographer Southern Highlands | Eliza Jade

Fitzroy Inn Wedding Photographer | Southern Highlands | Eliza Jade Photography

Fitzroy Inn is one of the Southern Highlands’ most loved wedding venues, a beautifully restored heritage inn surrounded by the cool-climate gardens and open countryside that define this extraordinary region. The property has warmth and intimacy built into its bones, and it creates a wedding day atmosphere that feels genuinely personal rather than corporate.

What Makes Fitzroy Inn Special

The heritage inn itself photographs beautifully, the sandstone, the period timber, the mature garden plantings and the property’s human scale all contribute to images that feel warm and considered. Fitzroy Inn is not an overwhelming venue, it is the kind of place where the day feels like it belongs to you.

The surrounding Southern Highlands landscape extends the portrait options naturally. The cool-climate gardens, the surrounding farmland and the property’s elevated position create a variety of backdrops within easy reach of the main spaces.

My Documentary Approach

I photograph weddings at Fitzroy Inn the way I photograph everywhere, by watching and documenting rather than directing. At an intimate venue like Fitzroy Inn, this approach produces images that feel genuinely personal. The scale of the property keeps everyone close together, which means the real moments, the quiet looks, the spontaneous laughs, the small gestures, happen right in front of me all day.

The Southern Highlands

Fitzroy Inn sits in the heart of the Southern Highlands, one of Australia’s most beautiful regions for weddings. The combination of heritage towns, cool-climate gardens, rolling countryside and that distinctive highlands light creates a backdrop that couples from Sydney and beyond travel specifically to access.

I photograph across the Southern Highlands regularly, at Fitzroy Inn, Bendooley Estate, Montrose House, The Imperial, Mali Brae Farm and Ravensthorpe. It is a region I know well and genuinely love working in.

Terrara House Wedding Photographer Nowra | Eliza Jade Photography

Terrara House Wedding Photographer | Nowra | Eliza Jade Photography

Terrara House is a historic homestead set on the Shoalhaven River near Nowra, a property with over 150 years of history and one of the most romantically situated event spaces on the South Coast. The white colonial homestead, the river backdrop, the surrounding gardens and the ancient fig trees all combine to create a wedding setting that feels genuinely extraordinary.

A Venue Unlike Any Other on the South Coast

What sets Terrara House apart is the Shoalhaven River itself. Weddings here happen with one of NSW’s great rivers as a backdrop, wide, calm and lined with ancient eucalyptus and fig trees that create a canopy unlike anything else in the region. The combination of the heritage homestead and the river landscape is deeply romantic and provides portrait conditions that are difficult to find anywhere else.

My Approach at Terrara House

I photograph weddings at Terrara House the same way I photograph everywhere, by documenting what actually happens rather than directing what I want to see. The venue’s natural beauty and its heritage setting do not need embellishment. My job is to be present in the right moments and let the day unfold authentically.

Portrait time at Terrara House typically takes us along the river, through the ancient fig trees and around the homestead gardens, a genuinely varied environment within a very short distance.

The Shoalhaven River Light

The river creates a particular quality of light at Terrara House, the water reflects and softens the afternoon sun in ways that produce portrait conditions that are luminous and warm. Combined with the canopy of the fig trees and the heritage architecture of the homestead, the photographic environment here is truly special.

South Coast Wedding Photographer

I am based in Wollongong and photograph weddings across the South Coast regularly, from the Illawarra down through the Shoalhaven. Terrara House is one of the most distinctive venues in this region and a property I genuinely look forward to photographing.

The Imperial Wedding Photographer Southern Highlands | Eliza Jade

The Imperial Wedding Photographer | Southern Highlands | Eliza Jade Photography

The Imperial is one of the Southern Highlands’ most iconic wedding venues, a heritage hotel that has been beautifully restored and sits at the heart of Blackheath or Bowral with the kind of gravitas that only a building with genuine history can carry. The combination of Victorian architecture, period interiors and surrounding highlands landscape creates a backdrop that is immediately striking.

Why The Imperial Photographs Beautifully

Heritage hotels photograph in a way that modern venues cannot replicate. The ornate detailing, the high ceilings, the period windows and the layered history of the building all contribute depth and character to every image. At The Imperial, this architectural richness is paired with the surrounding Southern Highlands landscape, cool-climate gardens, open countryside and that distinctive highlands light that makes everything feel more considered.

My documentary approach suits The Imperial perfectly. The venue has a grandeur that I do not need to manufacture, I simply move through the day capturing the real moments as they happen against a backdrop that does a great deal of the visual heavy lifting.

Portraits at The Imperial

The property and surrounding area offer strong portrait locations. The heritage facade, the period interiors, the gardens and the nearby countryside all contribute to a variety of environments within easy reach. During portrait time, I work with whatever the light and your comfort level dictates, the results are always natural rather than staged.

Southern Highlands Wedding Photographer

I am based on the South Coast and photograph weddings across the Southern Highlands regularly, including at The Imperial, Bendooley Estate, Montrose House, Mali Brae Farm, Ravensthorpe and Fitzroy Inn. The Southern Highlands is one of Australia’s most beautiful wedding regions and one I feel fortunate to work in throughout the year.

Ravensthorpe Wedding Photographer Southern Highlands | Eliza Jade

Ravensthorpe Wedding Photographer | Southern Highlands | Eliza Jade Photography

Ravensthorpe is a heritage Southern Highlands property with sweeping gardens, grand architecture and the kind of elevated setting that makes both the landscape and the photographs feel significant. It sits in the cool-climate countryside of the Southern Highlands and has the presence of a venue that has hosted important events across many decades.

Photographing at Ravensthorpe

The combination of heritage architecture, formal gardens and open Southern Highlands countryside gives me a wide range of environments to work within at Ravensthorpe. The property’s scale means there is always somewhere new to explore during portrait time, and the variety in the final gallery reflects that.

My approach is documentary throughout, I am there to capture the day as it genuinely unfolds rather than construct a version of it for the camera. At Ravensthorpe, the setting is strong enough to carry the images on its own. My job is to place you authentically within it and stay out of the way.

The Southern Highlands Light

The Southern Highlands sits at altitude, and the light here has a quality that is noticeably different from coastal or Sydney light. Cooler, softer and with a crispness that suits both the landscape and the heritage aesthetic of properties like Ravensthorpe. I find it one of the most photogenic regions in NSW for this reason.

Southern Highlands Wedding Photographer

I am based on the South Coast and photograph weddings across the Southern Highlands regularly, at Ravensthorpe, Bendooley Estate, Montrose House, Mali Brae Farm, Fitzroy Inn, The Imperial and other properties throughout this beautiful region.

The Southern Highlands has established itself as one of Australia’s premier wedding destinations and it is a region I feel genuinely privileged to work in.

The Co-Op Gerringong Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

The Co-Op Gerringong Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

The Co-Op in Gerringong is one of the South Coast’s most distinctive wedding venues, a converted heritage dairy co-operative that sits right in the heart of Gerringong township with ocean views and a creative, industrial aesthetic that feels genuinely unique. It is raw, characterful and the kind of venue that photographs in a way that surprises people.

The Character of The Co-Op

What makes The Co-Op so interesting to photograph is exactly what makes it a memorable venue, the heritage bones of the building, the exposed timber, the concrete and the industrial-era detailing all create a backdrop that is unlike any other South Coast venue. Paired with the ocean views and the town setting of Gerringong itself, it offers a range of environments within a very compact footprint.

My documentary approach suits The Co-Op perfectly. The venue has a gritty, creative character and couples who choose it tend to have the same, relaxed, unpretentious and genuinely interested in having a wedding that looks and feels like them.

Gerringong as a Location

Gerringong is one of the South Coast’s most loved coastal towns, a short drive south of Kiama and sitting above one of the most photographed beaches on the coast. The ocean views from The Co-Op’s elevated position are genuinely spectacular, and they provide a dramatic backdrop for portraits and wide shots throughout the day.

The surrounding streets and the nearby coastline also offer portrait options that extend beyond the venue walls, I am always happy to use whatever the location offers.

South Coast Wedding Photographer

I am based in Wollongong and photograph weddings across the South Coast regularly, from Kiama and Gerringong down through Berry and Nowra. The Co-Op is one of the most unique venues in this stretch of the coast and I genuinely enjoy photographing here.

Wildwood Kangaroo Valley Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

Wildwood Kangaroo Valley Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

Wildwood in Kangaroo Valley is a venue with genuine character, a property that feels as though it has grown from the landscape rather than been placed upon it. The surrounding rainforest, the creek, the timber structures and the sense of seclusion all combine to create a wedding environment that couples with an eye for the authentic immediately connect with.

What Makes Wildwood Special

Wildwood sits deep in Kangaroo Valley, surrounded by the kind of landscape that reminds you why people choose to get married outside a function room. The towering rainforest, the property’s natural textures and the quietness of the valley all contribute to a wedding day atmosphere that is genuinely hard to manufacture anywhere else.

As a photographer, Wildwood gives me extraordinary material to work with. The light filtering through the canopy, the creek-side portrait locations, the timber and stone architectural details, every element of the property adds to the visual story of the day.

My Documentary Approach at Wildwood

I photograph weddings at Wildwood the same way I photograph everywhere, by watching, not directing. I move through the day quietly, staying close enough to capture the real moments without becoming part of them. At a venue like Wildwood, this approach feels particularly natural, the setting creates its own atmosphere and the couples who choose it tend to have a relaxed, genuine energy that translates beautifully into photographs.

Kangaroo Valley Wedding Photographer

I photograph weddings across the Kangaroo Valley regularly, including at Wildwood, La Belle Valle, The Merribee and other properties throughout this extraordinary region. The valley sits inland from the South Coast and is accessible from Sydney in approximately two hours, a genuinely special destination that few couples regret choosing.

I am based in Wollongong and cover the full South Coast, Southern Highlands and Kangaroo Valley region.

Film Photography at Wildwood

Wildwood is one of those venues where 35mm film feels like the natural choice. The organic textures, the deep greens, the rainforest light, it all translates onto film with a warmth and depth that suits the venue’s spirit perfectly. I offer film add-ons for couples who want to explore this.

La Belle Valle Wedding Photographer Kangaroo Valley | Eliza Jade

La Belle Valle Wedding Photographer | Kangaroo Valley | Eliza Jade Photography

La Belle Valle sits in Kangaroo Valley, one of the most breathtaking natural settings in NSW. Surrounded by the escarpment, rainforest and the Kangaroo River, the property has a lush, almost otherworldly quality that makes it unlike any other wedding venue in the region. It is romantic, secluded and extraordinarily beautiful.

Photographing at La Belle Valle

The landscape around La Belle Valle is the dominant feature of any wedding day here. The towering forest, the river light, the mist that rolls through the valley in the mornings and evenings, all of it creates photographic conditions that are genuinely extraordinary.

My documentary approach works naturally in this environment. There is no need to manufacture atmosphere at La Belle Valle, it is everywhere. My job is simply to place you within it authentically and let the day happen.

The Kangaroo Valley Light

Kangaroo Valley light is distinctly different from coastal or highland light, it has a green quality from the rainforest canopy that gives photographs a lush, saturated depth. In the late afternoon, the light breaks through the escarpment in ways that are difficult to predict and impossible to replicate. I always arrive ready to work with whatever the valley gives us on the day.

35mm Film in the Valley

La Belle Valle is one of the venues I most recommend for 35mm film add-ons. The organic, lush, deeply textural environment translates onto film in a way that digital cannot fully replicate. If you have considered film photography for your wedding, La Belle Valle is the kind of venue that makes the decision easy.

Kangaroo Valley Wedding Photographer

I photograph weddings across the Kangaroo Valley regularly, at La Belle Valle, The Merribee, Wildwood and other properties throughout this stunning region. The valley is one of NSW’s most underrated wedding destinations and I consider myself lucky to work here as often as I do.

Based in Wollongong on the South Coast, I cover the full range from the Illawarra across to the Southern Highlands and throughout the Kangaroo Valley.

The Homestead Berry Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

The Homestead Berry Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

The Homestead at Berry is a heritage property with history in its walls and a landscape around it that feels genuinely South Coast, open paddocks, mature trees, sweeping rural views and the kind of quietness that makes a wedding feel like it belongs to the day itself. It is a venue that draws couples who want something with soul, and it delivers.

Why The Homestead Photographs So Well

Heritage properties photograph in a way that modern venues struggle to match. The aged timber, the stone details, the character that comes from decades of use, all of it adds texture and depth to images that a purpose-built function room simply cannot offer.

At The Homestead Berry, this heritage character is surrounded by beautiful South Coast countryside, giving me the best of both worlds as a photographer, architectural interest and natural landscape, often within a few metres of each other.

My Approach at The Homestead

I am a documentary photographer. My job on your wedding day is to observe, not to direct. At The Homestead, that means I am present throughout the day, moving through the ceremony, the formalities and the reception without stopping things to create moments that did not organically occur.

During portrait time, I work with you and the property, the gardens, the paddocks, the views across the surrounding countryside, to create images that feel like they were found rather than arranged. Most couples tell me they forget I am there within the first hour. That is the goal.

Berry as a Wedding Destination

Berry is one of the South Coast’s most loved towns, a short drive south of Kiama and the Illawarra, and accessible from Sydney in under two hours. The town and its surrounding properties have developed a genuine reputation as a wedding destination, and for good reason. The combination of landscape, heritage and community is difficult to find anywhere closer to Sydney.

I photograph weddings throughout the Berry area regularly, including at Willow Farm, The Co-Op Gerringong and across the broader South Coast region.

South Coast Wedding Photographer

Based in Wollongong, I cover the full South Coast from the Illawarra to the South Coast and beyond. The Homestead Berry is one of several heritage properties in this region that I consider some of my favourite venues to photograph.

Willow Farm Berry Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

Willow Farm Berry Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

Willow Farm sits just outside Berry on the South Coast of NSW, a genuinely beautiful farm venue with the kind of relaxed, organic character that couples who love the outdoors are drawn to immediately. The property combines wide open paddocks, mature trees and a warmth of atmosphere that makes everyone who arrives feel instantly at ease.

What Willow Farm Offers Photographically

Berry is one of the South Coast’s most charming towns and Willow Farm sits in the landscape around it beautifully. The property’s open paddocks, aged timber, natural plantings and surrounding countryside give me variety throughout the day, wide establishing shots, intimate portrait locations, and rich textured backdrops for the details that matter.

My documentary approach suits farm venues like Willow Farm naturally. There is no staging required, the setting does the work, and I simply document what is happening within it.

The Berry Light

The South Coast light around Berry is consistently beautiful, soft and warm without being harsh. In the late afternoon, the golden hour light across Willow Farm’s paddocks creates portrait conditions that are difficult to engineer anywhere else. I always look forward to that time of day at South Coast venues.

Getting Married at Willow Farm

Willow Farm weddings tend to have a relaxed, community feel. Guests are at ease, couples are comfortable and the day flows naturally, which is exactly the kind of environment where my photography works best.

I spend the day moving through the various spaces on the property, staying close to the action without interrupting it. From the ceremony through to the reception, I am quietly present, capturing the moments that make your day yours.

South Coast Wedding Photographer

I am based in Wollongong and regularly photograph weddings along the South Coast from Kiama down through Berry and Nowra. Willow Farm is one of several Berry-area venues I work at, the South Coast has an incredible range of farm and coastal properties that suit relaxed, documentary wedding photography perfectly.

The Lodge Jamberoo Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

The Lodge Jamberoo Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

The Lodge in Jamberoo sits in the Illawarra hinterland, a beautifully considered venue that blends heritage architecture with stunning natural surroundings. The property offers a sense of seclusion and intimacy that is rare, tucked away from the noise of the highway, surrounded by green hills and the kind of quiet that makes a wedding feel like it belongs only to you.

Photographing Weddings at The Lodge

The Lodge is a photographer’s venue. The heritage timber, the surrounding gardens, the natural light through the windows and the hinterland backdrop all contribute to a gallery that has genuine warmth and character. I have photographed weddings here and the results never disappoint.

My approach is documentary, I am there to capture the day as it unfolds, not to direct it. At The Lodge, that means moving quietly through the ceremony, the portraits in the gardens and surrounding property, and the reception inside those beautiful old walls. I follow the light, I follow the moments, I stay out of the way.

The Illawarra Hinterland

Jamberoo sits in the heart of the Illawarra, between the escarpment and the coast. The surrounding landscape is lush, green and deeply Australian, rolling hills, towering eucalyptus and a softness to the light that makes photography here a genuine pleasure.

During portraits, we often use the property grounds as well as the surrounding paddocks and treelines. The variety within a short distance means your gallery will have range without feeling contrived.

South Coast and Illawarra Wedding Photographer

I am based in Wollongong and photograph weddings across the Illawarra, South Coast and Southern Highlands. The Lodge in Jamberoo is one of several Illawarra hinterland venues I work at regularly, alongside Greyleigh in Kiama and others throughout the region.

The Illawarra is one of NSW’s most underrated wedding regions, close to Sydney, dramatically beautiful and with a community of venue operators who genuinely care about the experience they provide.

The Woods Farm Wedding Photographer Jervis Bay | Eliza Jade Photography

The Woods Farm Wedding Photographer | Jervis Bay | Eliza Jade Photography

The Woods Farm at Jervis Bay sits on a beautifully wild stretch of the South Coast, a working farm that has been thoughtfully transformed into one of the region’s most loved wedding venues. The combination of old-growth forest, open paddocks, the vintage red barn and the property’s genuinely rustic feel creates a backdrop that is hard to replicate anywhere else on the coast.

What Makes The Woods Farm Unique

There is an authenticity to The Woods Farm that couples respond to immediately. Nothing here is overly curated or precious, the timber is worn, the paddocks are real, the forest feels genuinely ancient. That raw quality translates extraordinarily well into photography.

My documentary style suits The Woods Farm perfectly. The venue has a natural energy and a sense of place that I can lean into rather than fight against. I am not trying to make it look like somewhere else, I am trying to show it exactly as it is, with you in it.

The Light at The Woods Farm

Jervis Bay’s light has a coastal softness that makes photographs feel luminous and warm without being overworked. In the late afternoon, the golden hour light filtering through the old-growth trees at The Woods Farm creates some of the most beautiful portrait conditions I encounter anywhere on the South Coast.

I work with this light rather than against it. During portraits, I follow the light and your comfort rather than a shot list, the results are always more natural and more beautiful for it.

A Day at The Woods Farm

Getting ready on or near the property sets the tone for the day. The ceremony, whether under the trees or in the paddock, is always one of my favourite parts, the natural setting creates an intimacy that formal venues struggle to match.

Portraits at The Woods Farm take us through the paddocks, into the forest edge, along the fencelines, wherever the light is doing something interesting and wherever you feel at ease. The reception in the red barn is warm, layered and full of the kind of real moments I love to document.

South Coast Wedding Photographer

I am based in Wollongong and photograph weddings across the South Coast and Southern Highlands regularly. The Woods Farm is one of several Jervis Bay venues I work at, alongside The Cove, Worrowing and others throughout the region.

If The Woods Farm is your venue and you want wedding photography that honours the spirit of the place and the reality of your day, I would love to be your photographer.

The Cove Wedding Photographer Jervis Bay | Eliza Jade Photography

The Cove Wedding Photographer | Jervis Bay | Eliza Jade Photography

The Cove at Jervis Bay is one of the South Coast’s most spectacular wedding venues. Perched above the bay with uninterrupted water views and that iconic white sand below, it is a venue that combines natural beauty with a relaxed coastal atmosphere. It is the kind of place where the setting does a lot of the work, and where the people matter even more.

Photography at The Cove

The light at Jervis Bay is extraordinary. The water reflects it in ways that create a luminous, almost ethereal quality in photographs, particularly in the late afternoon. As someone who works with natural light almost exclusively, The Cove is a genuinely exciting venue to photograph.

The ceremony area, looking out over the bay, creates one of the most naturally beautiful backdrops you will find anywhere on the South Coast. And the surrounding bush and beach give you portrait options that most venues simply cannot offer.

My Style at The Cove

I photograph weddings the way they actually happen. At The Cove, that means I am with you from the getting-ready moments, through the ceremony, into portraits on the beach or headland, and through to the reception. I move quietly through the day, staying close enough to capture the real moments without interrupting them.

The coastal setting at Jervis Bay suits a more relaxed, free-flowing approach to portraiture, bare feet in the sand, light breeze, no formal posing required. We walk, we talk, I take photographs. The results reflect how you actually felt that day, not how you thought you were supposed to look.

South Coast Wedding Photographer

I am based in Wollongong on the South Coast and regularly photograph weddings along the coast from Kiama down to Jervis Bay and beyond. The Cove is one of my favourite venues in this region alongside The Woods Farm, The Lodge in Jamberoo and Greyleigh in Kiama.

The South Coast offers some of the most beautiful wedding settings in NSW, dramatic coastline, ancient bush, pristine beaches and a community feel that Sydney venues simply cannot match.

35mm Film at The Cove

The coastal light at Jervis Bay translates beautifully onto 35mm film. If you love the warm, slightly dreamy quality of film photography, The Cove is one of the best venues to pair it with. Ask me about film add-ons when you enquire.

Mali Brae Farm Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

Mali Brae Farm Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

Mali Brae Farm is one of those venues that feels like it was made for weddings. Nestled in the Southern Highlands near Robertson, the property combines a working farm with beautifully considered event spaces, timber barns, open paddocks, wildflower gardens and long views across the surrounding countryside. It is relaxed, unpretentious and genuinely beautiful, which is exactly why couples keep choosing it.

The Mali Brae Aesthetic

What makes Mali Brae special as a photography backdrop is the variety it offers within a single property. The rustic barn interior provides warm, rich tones for reception shots. The paddocks and garden areas give you wide open space for portraits. And the surrounding landscape, all rolling hills and eucalyptus, creates a distinctly Australian backdrop that feels nothing like a hired function room.

My documentary approach suits Mali Brae perfectly. The venue has a natural, relaxed energy and my photography reflects that, I follow what is happening rather than staging what I want to happen.

What a Full Day at Mali Brae Looks Like

Getting ready images often happen nearby or on site depending on your arrangements. Ceremony coverage at Mali Brae is one of my favourites, whether it is outside in the garden or in the barn, the light and textures always produce beautiful results.

After the ceremony, I use the portrait time to explore the property with you, into the paddocks, along the fence lines, wherever the light is doing something interesting. The sessions feel more like a walk together than a photoshoot, which is intentional.

Reception coverage in the barn is warm, layered and full of real moments, the speeches, the first dance, the moment your guests let go and the night really starts.

Film Photography at Mali Brae

Mali Brae’s organic, countryside feel translates brilliantly onto 35mm film. The natural textures, the barn timber, the outdoor light, all of it sits beautifully on film. I offer film add-ons for couples who want that warm, tactile quality in their gallery. It is worth asking about when you enquire.

Southern Highlands Wedding Photographer

I am based on the South Coast and shoot regularly throughout the Southern Highlands, including at Mali Brae Farm, Bendooley Estate, Montrose House, The Imperial and Fitzroy Inn. The region is one of the most beautiful in NSW for weddings and I consider myself lucky to photograph here as often as I do.

Montrose House Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

Montrose House Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

Montrose House sits in Sutton Forest in the Southern Highlands, a grand heritage homestead surrounded by manicured gardens and open countryside. It is the kind of venue that has presence, you feel it the moment you arrive. The scale of the property, the history in its walls and the beauty of its grounds make it one of the most photographed wedding venues in the Southern Highlands, and one of my personal favourites.

What Makes Montrose House Special

The heritage facade photographs beautifully at any time of day, but it is the garden areas that really shine. The rose gardens, the lawns and the treelines around the property create a variety of backdrops within a single venue. As a photographer, that flexibility means the gallery from your day will have genuine range, wide open landscape shots alongside intimate, close moments.

The Southern Highlands climate also plays a role. The cooler air and soft light suit a more editorial style of photography, which aligns well with the refined aesthetic of Montrose House itself.

My Approach on the Day

I am a documentary wedding photographer at heart. My job is to capture the day as it genuinely unfolds, not to direct it into something that looks like a catalogue shoot. At Montrose House, this means spending the ceremony and formalities quietly observing, moving around the space without disrupting the natural flow of things.

During portraits, I work with the light and the landscape rather than against them. We keep things relaxed and conversational, most couples tell me they forget I am there, which is exactly the point. The images reflect that ease.

35mm Film at Montrose House

Montrose House suits film photography beautifully. The heritage setting, the warm tones of the interiors and the natural light across the gardens all translate wonderfully onto 35mm. I offer film add-ons for couples who want that timeless, slightly imperfect aesthetic alongside their digital gallery. It is one of my favourite combinations at this venue.

Southern Highlands Wedding Photographer

Based on the South Coast, I photograph weddings across the Southern Highlands regularly, at Montrose House, Bendooley Estate, Mali Brae Farm, Fitzroy Inn, The Imperial and beyond. The region is one of NSW’s finest for weddings and I feel genuinely lucky to work here as often as I do.

If Montrose House is your venue, I would love to be your photographer. My style is relaxed, unhurried and focused entirely on the real moments of your day.

The Merribee Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

The Merribee Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

The Merribee is tucked into the Kangaroo Valley escarpment, surrounded by ancient rainforest and farmland that feels genuinely untouched. It is a working farm and a wedding venue and it does both beautifully. If you are drawn to venues that have character, history and a landscape that does most of the heavy lifting, The Merribee is hard to beat.

A Venue That Photographs Itself

I have photographed weddings at The Merribee multiple times and the location never gets old. The old stone buildings, the timber barn, the wide open paddocks and the eucalyptus canopy above the ceremony area all create a natural, textured backdrop that suits my documentary style perfectly.

The Kangaroo Valley light is extraordinary in the late afternoon. There is a softness to it that you cannot replicate anywhere else on the South Coast, and it falls across The Merribee’s grounds in a way that makes every image feel warm and considered without any effort.

Real Weddings at The Merribee

No two weddings at The Merribee look the same, which is part of what makes it such a brilliant venue. Some couples lean into the rustic farmhouse feel with wildflower arrangements and barefoot ceremonies. Others bring in styling that contrasts beautifully with the raw surroundings. Either way, my approach stays the same, I document what is actually happening, rather than interrupting it.

I spend the day moving through the different spaces at The Merribee, following the energy of your day. During portraits, I will take you into the paddocks or along the treeline, wherever the light is best and wherever you feel most comfortable. The result is images that feel like they belong to the place.

What I Offer at The Merribee

I photograph weddings at The Merribee and across the Kangaroo Valley region from my base on the South Coast of NSW. I offer full-day coverage as well as shorter packages depending on your needs. 35mm film add-ons are available for couples who love that timeless look.

Kangaroo Valley Wedding Photographer

The Kangaroo Valley is one of the most beautiful wedding destinations in NSW and I am fortunate to photograph here regularly. Alongside The Merribee, I also work at La Belle Valle, Wildwood and other properties throughout the valley.

Bendooley Estate Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

Bendooley Estate Wedding Photographer | Eliza Jade Photography

Bendooley Estate sits in the heart of Bowral in the Southern Highlands, surrounded by rolling green paddocks, towering trees and that unmistakable cool-air stillness that makes this part of New South Wales feel like somewhere else entirely. It is one of my favourite venues to photograph weddings at, and for good reason.

Why Bendooley Estate is a Photographer’s Dream

The grounds at Bendooley offer endless variety. You have the formal gardens with their structured hedges and stone pathways, the open paddocks that catch golden light in a way that is almost unfair, and the grand homestead building itself, which photographs beautifully in any season. Whether you are planning a ceremony under the oak trees or a reception inside the Book Barn, there is something deeply romantic about this property that translates straight into imagery.

The Southern Highlands light is softer and cooler than the coast, which suits my documentary style perfectly. I work with available light wherever possible, and Bendooley gives you plenty of it.

My Approach at Bendooley Estate

I photograph weddings the way they actually happen. No stiff poses on the staircase, no forced laughs in front of the rose garden. My job is to be close enough to capture the real moments, the way you squeeze each other’s hands during the vows, the tears from your mum in the front row, the moment your guests erupt when the celebrant says you can kiss.

At Bendooley, I typically use the ceremony and portrait time to capture both the sweeping landscape shots and the quiet, intimate moments between you. The estate gives you enough space and variety that we are never stuck in one location. We move, we explore, and we let the day unfold naturally.

What to Expect When You Book

I cover Bendooley Estate weddings from Sydney, the South Coast and across the Southern Highlands region. Most couples choose full-day coverage so we can capture everything from getting ready through to the first hour of reception. I also offer 35mm film add-ons for couples who want that timeless, grain-forward aesthetic alongside their digital gallery.

My galleries from Bendooley tend to be some of my favourites. The combination of the venue’s architecture, gardens and natural light creates images that hold up for decades.

Southern Highlands Wedding Photographer

Based on the South Coast of NSW, I regularly photograph weddings across the Southern Highlands including at Bendooley Estate, Montrose House, Mali Brae Farm, Fitzroy Inn and The Imperial. The Southern Highlands is one of Australia’s most beautiful wedding regions and I feel lucky to work here as often as I do.

If you are planning a Bendooley Estate wedding and want photography that is relaxed, real and genuinely beautiful, I would love to hear from you.
